Robert William Windsor

Robert Williams Windsor was born in Newport on 31 January 1946 and educated at Brynglas School before becoming a steelworker and later a sales representative. He played club rugby for Newport Saracens, Cardiff and Cross Keys before joining Pontypool as hooker in the legendary front row alongside A G Faulkner and Graham Price [q.v.]. Bobby Windsor gained 28 caps for Wales between 1973 and 1979 and went on two British Isles' tours to South Africa in 1974 and New Zealand and Fiji in 1977, making a total of 26 appearances, including five tests.
