Philip Robert Waugh

Philip Robert Waugh was born in Sydney on 22 September 1979 and educated at Shore School and Sydney University. He played at flank forward for Sydney University and the Waratahs and between 2000 and 2009 scored four tries in 79 tests for Australia; he was vice-captain during the 2003 Rugby World Cup. He captained the Waratahs in 2008. In 2001 he was a replacement for Australia against the Barbarians at the Millennium Stadium. In 2004 he was vice-captain for the Barbarians against New Zealand at Twickenham and on the 2009 summer tour captained the Barbarians against Australia in Sydney.
