Jeremiah Charles Walsh
Jeremiah Charles Walsh was born in Cork on 3 November 1938 and educated at the University College in the city. He was a doctor and played at centre for UC Cork and Sunday's Well. He also represented Munster against South Africa in 1960, New Zealand in 1963 and Australia in 1967. Between 1960 and 1967 he gained 26 caps for Ireland. On the 1966 British Isles' tour he played in four of the first five matches in Australia before he was forced to return home because of a family bereavement. Jerry Walsh died on 28 September 1992, aged 53.
