Albertus Johannes Venter

Albertus Johannes Venter, known as 'AJ' was born in Bethulie on 29 July 1973 and educated at Louis Both Technical High School in Bloemfontein. He played at lock and back row for the Cats, Cheetahs, Golden Lions and Natal Sharks and in Italy for Rovigo. His 28 games for South Africa between 2000 and 2006 included 25 tests. In 2000 he was a replacement for the Springboks against the Barbarians at the Millennium Stadium.
