Tony Underwood
Tony Underwood was born in Ipoh, Malaysia, on 17 February 1969 and educated at Barnard Castle School, Leicester University and Cambridge University where he gained Blues in 1990 and 1991.With his older brother and fellow international wing Rory [q.v.] he played for Leicester and later moved on to Newcastle Falcons. The brothers were in the same Barbarians XV v New Zealand in 1989. Between 1992 and 1998 he scored 13 tries in 27 matches for England. In 1993 and 1997 he toured with the British Isles to New Zealand and South Africa and scored a total of nine tries in 14 appearances, including one test match. He is now a commercial airline pilot and based in Switzerland.
