Adam John Thomson

Adam John Thomson was born in Ashburton on 23 March 1982 and educated at Christchurch Boys High School and Otago University. A versatile performer in all three positions in the back row, he played for Otago University, Otago and the Highlanders and was a member of the 2011 New Zealand squad that won the Rugby World Cup. At that point he had scored four tries in 24 tests. He played for New Zealand against the Barbarians at Twickenham in 2009 and two years later at No 8 for the Barbarians against Australia at the same venue.
