Michael Clive Teague

Michael Clive Teague was born in Gloucester on 8 October 1959 and educated at Churchdown School. He made 291 appearances in the back row for Gloucester and also played at club level for Moseley and Cardiff. Originally employed in the building trade he later became a licensee of a successful public house in his home city. He represented the South & South-West against Australia in 1981, Fiji in 1982 when he scored two tries in the team's victory, New Zealand in 1983, and another victory over Romania in 1985. Between 1985 and 1993 he scored three tries in 27 internationals for England. He twice toured with the British Isles - to Australia in 1989 where he played in six matches, including two tests, and New Zealand in 1993 where his eight appearances included another test. He also toured South Africa in 1989 with a World XV. Mike Teague later had a period as team manager of Gloucester.
