Simon Marcus Taylor

Simon Marcus Taylor was born in Stirling on 17 August 1979 and educated at Morrison's Academy and Edinburgh University. He played in the back-row for Heriot's FP, Edinburgh, Stade Francais and Bath Rugby. Between 2000 and 2009 he scored six tries in 66 tests for Scotland and also played in the Rugby World Cup tournaments of 2003 and 2007. In 2001 injury on the British Isles' tour of Australia limited him to one appearance. He was equally unfortunate four years later when another injury forced him to withdraw after selection for the Lions'tour to New Zealand. Simon Taylor twice played for Scotland against the Barbarians in 2002 and 2003.
