As well as playing three times for the Barbarians in 1935 and 1936, the Richmond lock was London's only scorer against the Club in the King George V Jubilee Match at Twickenham on 4 May 1935. The Barbarians, in their first 15-a-side match at the famous ground, won 34-3.
