Ian Malcolm Bowen Stuart
Ian Malcolm Bowen Stuart was born in Dublin on 18 September 1902 and educated at Malvern College and Trinity College, Dublin. He was a headteacher and also worked in public relations. Ian Stuart played at lock and in the back row for London Irish and gained two caps for Ireland in 1924. He captained the Barbarians against Penarth in 1926 and 1929 and in 1930 designed the badge of the Club. He died in the USA on 3 August 1969, aged 66.
