Thomas James Smith

Thomas James Smith was born in London on 31 October 1971 and educated at Emannuel School London and Rannoch School, Dundee. He played at prop for Dundee HSFP, Watsonians, Glasgow, Brive and, from 2001 to 2009, for Northampton. He scored six tries in 61 internationals for Scotland between 1997 and 2005. In two tours for the British Isles to South Africa in 1997 and Australia in 2001 he made 13 appearances, including all six tests against the Springboks and Wallabies. Tom Smith later coached Edinburgh and Lyon.
