Stephen James Smith

Stephen James Smith was born in Belfast on 18 July 1959 and educated at Ballymena Academy before working as a bank official in the town.He played at hooker for Ballymena and gained 25 caps for Ireland between 1988 and 1993. On the 1989 British Isles tour to Australia he made five appearances. His five games for the Barbarians included the fixtures against Australia in 1988 and Wales in 1990. He was also an unused replacement against New Zealand in 1989 and England in 1990.
