Simon Timothy Smith

Simon Timothy Smith was born in Baldock on 29 April 1940 and educated at King Edward VI School in Lichfield, Lancaster University, and Cambridge University where he gained Blues in 1982 and 1983 plus an athletics Blue. He played club rugby for Lichfield, Fylde and Wasps and gained nine caps on the wing for England between 1985 and 1986. Simon Smith scored a try in each of his first seven appearances for the Barbarians, including the match against Australia in 1984.
