Oliver James Smith

Oliver James Smith was born in Leicester on 14 August 1982 and educated at John Cleveland College in Hinckley and Loughborough University. He scored 38 tries in 180 games at centre and occasionally fly-half for Leicester before moving to France to play for Montpellier. He later returned to England to play for Harlequins. Between 2003 and 2005 Ollie Smith gained five caps for England, scoring one try. In 2005 he toured New Zealand with the British Isles and played in five games, including the first match against Argentina in Cardiff. He was a replacement for the Barbarians against Australia at Wembley Stadium in 2008.
