Colin Peter Simpson

Colin Peter Simpson was born in Ipswich on 21 September 1942 and educated at Ipswich School before joining the Army. He was serving at RMA Sandhurst when invited to play for the Barbarians as an uncapped wing against New Zealand at Cardiff Arms Park in 1964. A year later he won his only cap for England against Wales at the same ground. Colin Simpson played club rugby for Harlequins and cricket for Suffolk.
