Tomos George L. Shanklin

Tomos George Llewellyn Shanklin was born in Harrow on 24 November 1979 and educated at The Howard of Effingham School. He played at centre for London Welsh and Saracens before joining Cardiff Blues in 2003. Originally capped by Wales on the 2001 summer tour to Japan he went on to play in 70 internationals and score 20 tries. In 2005 he toured New Zealand with the British Isles and made three appearances before injury curtailed his tour. He was selected for the next British Isles tour to South Africa in 2009 before injury again forced him to withdraw. Tom Shanklin was a replacement for the Barbarians when they beat South Africa at Twickenham in 2007.
