Kenneth James Forbes Scotland

Kenneth James Forbes Scotland was born in Edinburgh on 29 August 1936 and educated at George Heriots School and Cambridge University where he gained three Blues, 1958 to 1960. After university he played at full-back for Heriots FP, Leicester and, briefly, for Ballymena. He gained 27 caps for Scotland between 1957 and 1965, including two matches at fly-half in 1963 when he was also captain in four internationals. He also played cricket for Scotland. In 1959 he toured Australasia and Canada with the British Isles when he played in 22 games, including five test matches, and scored 72 points. He played at centre in the fourth test against New Zealand when the Lions won 9-6 while against New Zealand Juniors he played at scrum-half. Ken Scotland played 10 times for the Barbarians, including against Canada in 1962, and was captain against Cardiff earlier in the same year.
