Alain Colm Pierre Rolland
Alain Colm Pierre Rolland was born in Dublin on 22 August 1966. He played at scrum-half for Blackrock College and Moseley and in 40 provincial games for Leinster. He gained three caps for Ireland between 1990 and 1995. At the time he was a mortgage broker and later became a successful referee. His first international match was in 2001 and six years later he was in charge of the Rugby World Cup Final in Paris between England and South Africa. In 2011 he handled his first Barbarians' fixture against Wales at the Millennium Stadium.
