Richard Andrew Robinson
Richard Andrew Robinson was born in Taunton on 3 April 1964 and educated at the local Richard Huish School and Loughborough College. He played club rugby at flank forward for Bath and between 1988 and 1995 gained eight caps for England. In 1989 he toured with the British Isles to Australia, played in six games and scored two tries. Andy Robinson also toured with the Barbarians to Russia in 1992 and Japan in 1996. On the latter he was captain in both matches against Kansai President's XV and Kobe Steel. He was also Barbarians' captain against Leicester in 1993. After his playing days he had a notable coaching career with Bath, England, Edinburgh and as an assistant on the British Isles tours to New Zealand (2005) and South Africa (2009). In 2009 he also became head coach of Scotland.
