Alun James Priday

Alun James Priday was born in Whitchurch, Cardiff, on 23 January 1933 and educated at Glanynant School and Whitchurch Grammar School. He worked as a company director before becoming secretary of Cardiff RFC in 1972. Alun Priday played at full-back for Penarth before joining Cardiff in 1951. Over the course of the next 14 seasons he played in 410 matches and set a new club record of 1799 points.His two caps for Wales were both against Ireland in 1958 and 1961.
