David Nash

David Nash

David Nash was born in Markham, Monmouthshire, on 15 July 1939 and educated at Nantyglo Grammar School and Cardiff College of Education where he qualified as a teacher. He later worked for the National Sports Centre in Cardiff. He played at number 8 for Ebbw Vale and in six internationals for Wales between 1960 and 1962. In South Africa in 1962 he played two matches for the British Isles before injury curtailed his tour. In 1967 he was appointed the first national team coach of Wales.
