Joseph S. Mycock

Joseph Mycock was born in Bakewell on 17 January 1916 and educated at Giggleswick School. A member of the Vale of Lune and Sale clubs, he also played at lock for the Combined Services while serving in the RAF. In later life he followed a business career in South America, the Far East and Nigeria. His six games for the Barbarians included the match against Australia in 1948, the season in which he also gained five caps for England. Joe Mycock died in 2004.
