Iain Gordon Milne

Iain Gordon Milne was born in Edinburgh on 17 June 1958 and educated at George Heriot's School and Heriot Watt University before working in the printing industry. A formidable prop, he played for Heriot's FP and Harlequins and between 1979 and 1990 he gained 42 caps for Scotland. In 1983 he toured New Zealand with the British Isles and played in eight matches. His 16 appearances for the Barbarians included the fixture against Australia in 1984 and five Mobbs Memorial Matches. It was against East Midlands in 1989 that he set a Barbarian family record by forming the front row with his brothers D.F. and K.S. Milne [q.v.].
