Alan D Meredith was educated at Neath Grammar School and played at centre for Welsh Secondary Schools. At senior level he was a mainstay of the Swansea club where he was captain from 1977 to 1979, including victory in the Welsh Cup Final in 1978.He represented Wales B. He was a solicitor.
