Keven Filipo Mealamu

Keven Filipo Mealamu was born in Tokoroa on 20 March 1979 and educated at Aorere College. He played at hooker for the Otahahu club and Super Rugby for the Chiefs and Auckland Blues. He first played for New Zealand in 2002 and by the start of the Rugby World Cup in September 2011 had scored 11 tries in 86 tests, including two as captain. He also played for the All Blacks against the Barbarians at Twickenham in 2004. Six years later he was a replacement for the Barbarians in their victory over South Africa.
