David James Kidston McKay

David James Kidston McKaywas born in Wellington, New Zealand, on 24 October 1948 and was educated at Clifton College before working as a stockbroker. Dave McKay played on the wing for Rosslyn Park and although he played in England trials but was never capped, he enjoyed a remarkable scoring record with the Barbarians. He scored three tries on his debut against East Midlands in 1976 and later that year on the tour of Canada he scored 16 tries in six appearances, including five against Saskatchewan and four against Quebec. His overall tally of 27 tries in 15 games leaves him second only to A.J.F.O'Reilly in the Club's all-time try scoring list. He also played in the prestigious fixture against the British Isles at Twickenham in 1977.
