Donald Charles Manley

Donald Charles Manley, known as Dick, was born in Exeter on 17 February 1932 and educated in the city at Hele's School. He worked as a cabinet maker. After 15 years' service as a back-row forward for the Exeter club and Devon, including 80 County games and winning the championship in 1957, he gained four caps for England in 1963. He played for the Barbarians against Canada in 1962 and captained the Club against Penarth in 1961. He became president of Exeter Chiefs.
