Ian Allan Alexander MacGregor

Ian Allan Alexander MacGregor was born in Glasgow on 9 August 1931 and educated at Hillhead High School. He qualified as a teacher and played at wing-forward for Hillhead HSFP. While serving in the RAF in south Wales he played for Llanelli and gained five of his nine Scotland caps (1955-1957) whilst at Stradey Park. He later became chairman of the Scottish Rugby Union.
