Louis-Francois Pickard Louw

Louis-Francois Pickard Louw was born in Cape Town on 15 June 1985 and educated at Bishops College. He played in over 50 games in the back-row for Western Province and also for the Stormers in Super Rugby. After making his test debut for South Africa in June 2010, he played in the Rugby World Cup of the following year and by the end of 2012 had scored three tries in 17 internationals. In 2011/12 he joined Bath Rugby and the following season captained the club. Francois Louw is the grandson of another famous Springbok, Jan Pickard, who played in 34 matches, including four tests, in the 1950s.
