Harry Lind

Harry Lind was born in Fife on 27 March 1906 and educated at Dunfermline High School. He was an architect and played at fly-half and centre for the Dunfermline club. In 1935 he represented North of Scotland against the touring All Blacks. His 16 caps for Scotland between 1928 and 1936 included the captaincy against Wales in 1934. In 1935 he captained the Barbarians against Penarth. He was also a member of the Barbarians' squad that won the Middlesex Sevens at the first attempt in 1934. In the final he scored the decisive try in the 6-3 victory over Richmond. Harry Lind died on 18 December 1986 aged 80.
