Peter John Larter

Peter John Larter was born in Totnes on 7 September 1944 and educated at Churston Ferrers Grammar School, Brixham. He played for Weston-Super-Mare before joining the RAF. Most of his club rugby was as a goal-kicking lock for Northampton from where he gained 24 caps for England between 1967 and 1973. In 1968 he was a member of the British Isles squad that toured South Africa and played in 12 matches, including one test. Peter Larter's eleven games for the Barbarians included the fixture against New Zealand at Twickenham in 1967.
