Ronald Arthur Lamont

Ronald Arthur Lamont was born in Belfast on 18 November 1941 and eduacted at the Royal Belfast Academic Institute. He played for Instonians and at provincial level captained Ulster. His 12 matches for Ireland between 1965 and 1970 included seven at No 8 and five at flanker. On the 1966 British Isles' tour of Australasia he scored six tries in 14 appearances, including four tests. Ronnie Lamont was a schoolteacher.
