Cornelius Petrus Johannes Krige

Cornelius Petrus Johannes Krige, known as Corne, was born in Lusaka on 21 March 1975 and educated at Paarl Boys High School and Cape Technical College. He played in the back row for Western Province and the Stormers and in England for Northampton Saints. He captained South Africa in 18 of his 39 tests between 1999 and 2003 when he also played for the Springboks in four non-cap matches including the game against the Barbarians at the Millennium Stadium in 2000. He captained the Barbarians against England in 2005.
