Ralph Nicholas Koster was born in Robertson, South Africa, on 22 February 1990 and educated at Bishops College. Nick Koster played for Western Province and the Stormers at lock and back row and was an uncapped replacement in the Barbarians team against Australia at Wembley Stadium in 2008.
