Neil Roger Jenkins

Neil Roger Jenkins was born in Pontypridd on 8 July 1971 and educated at Bryn Celynnog School, Beddau. Playing in two spells for Pontypridd he scored 3185 points in 237 matches. He also played 47 games at fly-half for Cardiff and scored 655 points. His scoring feats in international rugby were equally remarkable with a world record 1049 points in 87 matches for Wales between 1991 and 2003 plus another 41 points in three tests for the British Isles against South Africa (and as a full-back) in 1997. He also toured with the Lions to Australia in 2001. His overall total for the British Isles was 142 points in 12 matches, including four tests. Neil Jenkins also scored 24 points on his Barbarians' debut against Newport in 1995. He later became kicking coach for Wales.
