William Raymond Hunter

William Raymond Hunter was born in Belfast on 3 April 1938 and educated at Wallace High School, Lisburn. He worked in insurance and played at centre and wing for CIYMS. He played in 10 internationals for Ireland between 1962 and 1966. His first cap had been at centre and the other nine on the wing. On the 1962 British Isles' tour of South Africa Ray Hunter took his versatility to a new level. His ten appearances included a final game against East Africa at wing-forward.
