W. Hosker
William Hosker was born on 20 August 1925 and educated at Bromborough Poole Primary School and New Chester Road Secondary School. He played at lock and in the back row for Birkenhead Park. Between 1943 and 1947 he served in the Cheshire and Middlesex Regiment and then worked as a personnel manager for Prices Chemicals in the Wirral. His representative rugby included appearances for the Army and also for North-West Counties against South Africa in 1951 and New Zealand in 1954.
