Craig Joseph Hammond
Craig Joseph Hammond was born in Singapore on 11 February 1979. After playing for Wellington and New Zealand under-19s he moved to England and became a mainstay of the Nottingham club. In 10 seasons from 2002 he played 280 matches and captained the side for a record eight seasons. He also represented England Counties and was a member of the Leicester Tigers team that beat South Africa 22-17 in 2009. Equally at home in the second and back row of the pack, Craig Hammond played 10 times for the Barbarians and three as captain. In 2012 he joined Hong Kong Scottidh as player-coach and was liaison officer for the Barbarians when they played the Lions in Hong Kong in 2013.
