Michael Griffiths

Michael Griffiths was born in Tonypandy on 18 March 1962 and educated at Blaenclydach Comprehensive School. He played at prop for Bridgend, Cardiff and Wasps. During a long career he represented Bridgend against Western Samoa and Cardiff against South Africa and toured with Wales to Namibia in 1990, Australia in 1991, Zimbabwe in 1993 and South Africa in 1998. He gained 35 caps for Wales between 1988 and 1998 and on the 1989 British Isles' tour to Australia his six appearances included the match against an ANZAC XV.
