Werner Willem Greeff was born in Belville on 14 July 1977 and educated at D F Malan High School. He played for the Stormers and scored 31 points in 11 tests for South Africa in 2002 and 2003. A utility half-back, he was a replacement for the Barbarians against New Zealand at Twickenham in 2004.
