Ian Scott Gibbs

Ian Scott Gibbs was born in Bridgend on 23 January 1971 and educated at Llanharry School before employment as a sales representative and a sports consultant. He played for Neath and Swansea and scored a try in Swansea's victory over Australia in 1992. Between 1991 and 2001 Scott Gibbs gained 53 caps at centre for Wales and captained the side against USA in 1997. He twice toured with the British Isles to New Zealand in 1993 and South Africa in 1997, playing a total of 13 matches, including five tests. In 1994 he signed for St Helens rugby club where he won a Challenge Cup medal at Wembley and also played for Wales before returning to union in 1996. He was Swansea's captain in the Welsh Cup Final victory over Llanelli in 1999.
