James Pringle Fisher
James Pringle Fisher was born in Edinburgh on 17 March 1939 and educated at the Royal High School before serving as an army dentist. He played in the back row for Royal High School FP and London Scottish and also represented Great Britain and Scotland at basketball. Between 1963 and 1968 he gained 25 caps for Scotland, two at number 8, the rest at wing-forward, and nine as captain. Pringle Fisher played for the Barbarians against Australia in 1967 but later the same year was forced to withdraw having been selected to play against New Zealand at Twickenham.
