Steven Paul Fenwick
Steven Paul Fenwick was born in Nantgarw on 23 July 1951 and educated at Caerphilly Grammar Technical School and Borough Road College. After teaching for several years he began a career in business. He played at centre for Taffs Well, Beddau and Bridgend and represented the latter against New Zealand in 1978. He also scored 15 points in the 1979 WRU Cup Final when Bridgend defeated Pontypridd 18-12. Between 1975 and 1981 he scored 152 points in 30 internationals for Wales and captained the side three times in his final season. He also led the England & Wales XV against Scotland & Ireland in 1980. In 1977 he toured New Zealand with the British Isles and played in 12 matches, including the four tests. Steve Fenwick switched to rugby league for Cardiff in 1981 and played twice for Wales in the 13-a-side code.
