Keith Eli Fairbrother

Keith Eli Fairbrother was born in Coventry on 8 May 1944 and educated at Caludon Castle School. He became a successful fruit and vegetable merchant and later the chairman of Coventry RFC, where he had spent most of his playing career. He also appeared for local club Stoke Old Boys and Nuneaton. Between 1969 and 1971 he gained 12 caps at prop for England. In 1969 Keith Fairbrother toured South Africa with the Barbarians and the following January played against the Springboks at Twickenham. He captained the Barbarians against Newport in 1971.
