Carlo Antonio del Fava

Carlo Antonio del Fava was born in Umtata, South Africa, on 1 July 1981. He was educated at Queen's College and Varsity College, Durban, and played for the Sharks,the Wildebeest and in 2001 three matches for South Africa under-21. He then moved to Italy and played at lock for Rugby Parma and Viadana. His other clubs in Europe were Bourgoin and Ulster. Having qualified on residency, his first cap at lock for Italy was in 2004 and he played in the Rugby World Cup of 2007. By August 2011 he had gained 53 test caps and completed his first season with another Italian club, Aironi.
