Robin Harvard Davies

Robin Harvard Davies was born in London on 12 January 1934 and educated at King's College School, Wimbledon, and Oxford University where he gained three Blues, 1955-1957. He worked as a research officer for ICI and later at the Cardiff School of Pharmaceuticals. He played at blind-side wing-forward for London Welsh where he was club captain in 1959/60 and later a committeeman. He gained six caps for Wales between 1957 and 1962, scoring a try on his debut against Scotland at Murrayfied. Later that season he also played for a Wales XV against the Rest of Britain in an Empire Games match at Cardiff Arms Park and again scored a try. Dr Robin Davies died on 7 October 2011, aged 77.
