Lawrence Bruno Nero Dallaglio

Lawrence Bruno Nero Dallaglio was born in Shepherd's Bush, London, on 10 August 1972 and educated at King's House School, Ampleforth College, and Kingston University. He played in the back row for one first-class club, Wasps, throughout a long career and captained the team to English Premiership and European Cup success. Between 1995 and 2007 Lawrence Dallaglio scored 17 tries in 85 internationals for England. He was also national captain on 22 occasions. His three tours with the British Isles featured mixed success: in 1997 in South Africa he played in all three tests and seven matches overall; but he was injured after only two appearances in Australia in 2001 and after one match in New Zealand in 2005. He captained the Barbarians against South Africa in 2000.
