Timothy Anton Cowell

Timothy Anton Cowell was born on 27 December 1941. While at Durham University he represented the British Universities in 1965 and in the same year also played for Durham in the County Championship Final. He then had nine years as a flanker for the Warwickshire side and played in two more county finals. In 1972 he toured South Africa with England, played in three matches and scored a try against Griqualand West. Later that year he was a member of the Midland Counties West XV that beat the All Blacks 16-8 at Moseley. His home club was Rugby RFC., and he became a Barbarian on the 1973 Easter tour, scoring two tries against Newport.
