Maurice John Colclough
Maurice John Colclough was born in Oxford on 2 September 1953 and educated at Duke of York's RMS and Liverpool University. Much travelled both on and off the field he was a cafe proprietor in France and later a marine developer. He played at lock for Angouleme and Poitiers in France, Wasps and Liverpool in England,and Swansea in Wales. Between 1978 and 1986 he played in 33 internationals for England and toured with the British Isles to South ASfrica in 1980 and New Zealand in 1983, playing a total of 22 matches, including eight tests. In 1985 he captained the Barbarians against Cardiff. Maurice Colclough died on 27 January 2006 aged 52.
