Peter Martin Noel Clohessy was born in Limerick on 2 March 1966 and educated at Crescent College in the city. He was a businessman and later opened a successful bar and night club in Limerick. He played at prop for Young Munster and Munster and between 1993 and 2002 gained 54 caps and scored four tries for Ireland.
